Services & rates

Price your work the way you price it.

Hourly, day or half-day rates, a trip charge and a minimum, per service. Owners see them up front, and estimates use them exactly, adding your trip charge once per job.

  • Different rates for each service you offer
  • Maximum boat length you take
  • No acceptance-rate score; declining costs you nothing

Quotes

Answer quote requests with real numbers.

Owners and companies send requests with photos and a description. Reply with an amount, line items and notes; if they accept, it becomes the work order or job you're booked on.

  • Line-item quotes with validity and earliest start
  • Messages on each request
  • Accepted work lands in the boat's history with your name

On the job

Everything you need for the trip, while you're on it.

Once booked, you get time-boxed access to what the job needs: the boat's dossier, its departure and arrival checklists and the trip logger. When the job's done, access ends on its own.

  • Run the boat's departure and arrival checks
  • Log the trip, engine hours and fuel
  • Expenses and payouts to your own account

Questions

Before you ask.

Are captains, crew and service pros employees of OUTSEA?

No. Providers are independent. They set their own rates, choose which work to take, bring their own licenses and insurance, and get paid to their own account. Declining work is never held against anyone, and any owner or company can hire any provider.

How does hiring a captain or crew work?

Post a trip with the positions you need, such as a captain, a mate and a stew. You can name people you want first; then the offer goes to your in-house people, your favorites or preferred list, and finally to qualified pros whose work radius covers the departure marina. Each position fills independently.

What does it cost to hire through OUTSEA?

Providers keep their full rate. Captain and crew bookings paid through OUTSEA carry a small booking fee for the person booking, shown before you confirm. Service work and yard invoices can also be recorded without paying through OUTSEA.
